Here are a few simple sayings I have come accross over the years. I hope it brightens up your day.

A hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove ... But the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child.

"WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO ?" said the baby Tiger to his
mother in the jungle. "Here comes a hunter, and he has five rifles,
3 special sighting scopes, and devices to allow him to see in the dark !"
"HUSH" answered the mother and she taught her cub how
to sneak up from behind and pounce. The hunter was never heard
from again.
All of which goes to prove that technology may be fine,
but it will never be a substitute for a good basic education.

A child's life is a piece of paper in which each passer-by leaves a
mark.

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people
and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest
critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate
beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better,
whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed
social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier
because you have lived. This to have succeeded. (Emerson)

Treat the earth well: it was not given to you by your parents, it was
loaned to you by your children. We do not inherit the Earth
from our Ancestors, we borrow it from our Children.

Taoist Proverb

A child needs your love most when he deserves it the least.

Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire
(William Butler Yeats).
