MAGIC CIRCLE PROGRAM OUTLINE

Mrs. Fitzgerald amd Mme Carmela speak both English (explaining key topics and terms in French) and French (explaining key topics and terms in English) to ensure children learn both languages. Both French and English are spoken  throughout the day, however more so for the 4's.

Language and culture are very important at MCPS. During the “Italy”, "Native American”, and “Nunavut” themes, children learn words and phrases in these languages as well. We feel that it is important to stimulate their language centers, allow them to understand that different languages can mean the same thing, and give them a respect for other cultures and languages – all in a fun environment.
